During the past decade Douglas Kay has honed his performance skills in the clubs, bars and coffee houses of Australasia, North America, Africa and Europe.
The 2003 release of his debut album “Of All The Towns To Sleep In” generated airplay on radio and TV stations worldwide, including BBC Radio One, BBC Radio Scotland, Australia’s GWN & Central FM and Xfm London – where “Moving Target” won the listener vote after featuring on the show X-Posure.
Douglas Kay Band, which features Alex Hunter (bass) and Hugh Martin (drums), was formed following the release of “Of All The Towns…” and since then the trio has played a number of notable gigs around the UK, including the T-Break Showcases and numerous appearances at the world famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In addition, Douglas has continued to play solo acoustic shows; these have included gigs alongside KT Tunstall and Amy MacDonald as well as tours of the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
The band’s latest album “Into Your Head” was released on CD, download and limited edition USB drive in late 2009 and features ten tracks penned by Kay; second track “Better” topped a poll of tracks by Scottish acts in the Edinburgh Evening News and has also received airplay on the BBC.
Summer 2010 will see the band perform in Glasgow and London before returning to Edinburgh for a series of shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.

Neil Watson is a Scottish singer/songwriter. Hailing from the small village of Pathhead, Midlothian, the 28 year old’s love for music started at an early age whilst listening to his parent’s record collection, instantly falling in love with the music of Bruce Springsteen and Cat Stevens – who remain influences to this day.
In a short space of time, Neil has been turning people on to his music with his powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics, being described by US recording artist Daniel Glenn Timms as “an exceptional singer with songs that are real…”. His performances in and around Edinburgh did not go unnoticed by local music promoters and have led to him securing many headlining slots alongside the main support slots for artists such as Chris Helme (formerly of the Seahorses) and Martin Metcalfe (formerly of Goodbye Mr McKenzie).

Music and music making has always been at the very centre of Georgie’s life. A varied and interesting career has seen appearances in musicals, performances with bands and even a session with native American drummers in the Nevada desert.
In Edinburgh she has performed at the voodoo rooms, Igloo, Forest Cafe, 99 Hanover Street and recently had a residency at Hawk & Hunter.
Her songs have taken her all over the UK, Europe and as far afield as Cuba.
But don’t expect forgettable love songs with no meaning as Georgie is a storyteller. She’s currently based in Edinburgh. If you ever run into her – watch out – you
could end up in one of her songs!

Epic26 are an electro indie band from Edinburgh who kicked off 2009 playing a storming set at the Barrowlands followed up with a series of sell out shows in Edinburgh and round the country.

The Elements formed in the belief that good things can come from collaborative writing. The band currently consists of five core members – Alan Davison, Andy McCarroll, Douglas Kay, Shona Brodie and Chris Gibson.
They are/were involved in various other projects including bands such as Underbelly, The Dead Beat Club, Douglas Kay Band, The Sorries, Stealer, Brand New Deju Vu and My Radio, with The Elements coming together in 2007 to start a project to eventually feature a roster of 10 or more guest members to perform at gigs in the future.
Between them the members have supported or performed with the likes of Jill Jackson, KT Tunstall, Alex Parks, Nathan Connolly (Snow Patrol), Paolo Nutini and Nizlopi. Their gathered experience has given the band a great knowledge of the music scene in Scotland and beyond, and they are now working towards an album release in 2010 which will feature a huge roster of guests including Vicky Gray of Aberfeldy, a recent guest performer with the band.
The Elements will begin pre-production for the album in January so busy times are ahead. There will be a few low profile gigs but the band look forward to emerging onto the live scene again in March when they take the stage as part of ‘The Mill’ event in Cabaret Voltaire on 18.3.10 – a fantastic night of music designed to act as promotional tool for the bands taking part. The gig will produce three live recordings and a video for release in April 2010. www.themill-live.com
